Unfortunately, in 2009 terrorism started here and lead to mass destruction where suicide bomb blasts happened since 2008-2011. Army used heavy weaponry like gunships, Jet F16, Tanks and machine guns. The city was evacuated in 2009. Army operation took place where almost 10000 civilians died leaving behind orphans, widows and families ruined. Homes were damaged and it seemed like a world war 3 has been fought here.

But now since 2013 this Valley of Swat has been developed and rehabilitated as well. In such a scenario arts is getting flourished once again and it was proved when after a decade the first live music concert took place organized by Rangoona (Colors) Event management company in Association with Yoon Band.
